Yes. Spanish food has NOTHING to do with Mexican food. Just because they speak the same language doesn't mean they eat similar foods. There are different items available.



Mexican foods rely heavily on chilies, hot, spicy peppers, and corn and beans



Spain relies on garlic, onions, salt and pepper to spice foods that are based on rice, noodles, seafood, and pastoral meats. They have a lot of varieties of olives, and their dried hams are to die for! but they don't know what a taco is, and they would pretty much NEVER be caught dead eating anything made with corn or corn meal! (corn is for pigs to eat!)



You would be hard-pressed to find anyone in either country who had eaten food from the other.
